We all have magical potential
At the start
the project had a blog about handpans, a small room, and just three instruments that people shared during lessons. Because handpans were so scarce, some practiced rhythms on their knees while others played the instruments, and then they would switch. The first students were friends, acquaintances of the project, and people who came across the blog's advertisements. This formed the core of the project.TRAINING
The proper hand positioning, sound production, and rhythms were all collected by the project’s founder, Sergey Ardasenov, and co-founder, Alexander Trunov, from their travels to create a unique learning system.
Handpan Production
Initially, the team acquired handpans from masters during their travels. Finding them was not easy, as this young instrument was known by few and produced by even fewer. As the number of students grew and more like-minded individuals joined, Animara established its own handpan production.
The project quickly expanded, with the team setting a goal to become the most popular handpan academy and create the largest production in the world. To date, more than 5,000 handpans have been produced.
Animara today:
- the best teachers
- the only interactive platform in the world for learning to play the handpan
- a network of schools in Europe, Asia, and America
- With over 20,000 students, Animara continues to thrive and grow
